I look at the #condem coalition government and the despicable Gove bloke (is he for real? Ifirst thought that when I met him 4 years ago) Gove and the #condem coalition appear to be thinking that if any family have got a 30 year mortgage and want to pay it off in 20 years, the answer is simple just stop feeding the kids.
Its politically immature and quite simply more Thatcherite than Thatchernomics and is straight from the Tory Libdem economic kidology manual. Its kids faults that Labour have a deficit, and in the public sector low paid women will bear the brunt of wage cuts, pension cuts and eventually job losses.
New schools have been slashed school meal funding is being transferred to other Gove projects its simply outrageous and this shortchanging of people will continue until the Gerrymandering of electoral boundaries start and they force the AV system onto the public by fear.
For me personally it is first past the post or proportional representation AV is shitea #contrick by the coalition.
Think on: This is just the start and I think that in 2 years time I like a lot of people in this country will be extremely angry with #condem and its supporters.
Today there is news that #Condem Cameron and Clegg are going to have a public sector pensions review. This is spiteful and loaded I say that as over the last few weeeks and days comments have been made by the pair of them concerning views on pensions.
Cameron and Clegg have announced this now as they know that it will distract the public from the cuts about to hit them. I know that public sector workers are deeply concerned to have a review of their pensions dropped on their toes without any consultation. Their desire to blame the county’s financial state on public sector pensions is outrageous and scandalous.
Have the findings been pre-empted? Any commission must have trade union representation the voices of public sector workers will be heard, and I Cameron and Clegg and their #Condem Coalition government must listen.
The public sector appears to be the scapegoats of the #Condem Coalition so it was not the bankers, or the world financial crisis it was the wages in the public sector and its pensions, that caused the current financial crisis. If you belive that then pigs fly. For the last couple of days I have listened to and read this drivel from the press and people who should know better.
One paper used the word Apartheid obviously this would be understandable from a wet behind the ears journo that had been watching the world cup and found out about the apartheid era in SA. However this was first mooted in the Mail here http://twurl.cc/2zci and here http://twurl.cc/2zcj and here http://twurl.cc/2zck and here http://twurl.cc/2zcl there are many more.
Note: Public Sector Pensioners in Local Government did not get any increase in April 2010, as RPI inflation was at -1.4% in Sept 2009, it is this is the date that their increase is calculated on. RPI is currently about 5.4% All pensioners are feeling the squeeze this year.
This is not true the pensions in the public sector local authority pension funds are funded and the liability for the next 20 years is planned for. Only so called fat cat chiefs in the public sector are earning more than the prime minister. I agree that top pay levels in the public sector should be pulled back and not one single person in the public sector is worth a salary that is greater than the Prime Minister, but this was started by Harold Wilson when he agree to pay Dr Beeching from ICI the same salary as he was paid in ICI it is all Harold Wilson’s fault is it?
Blame shunting always happens and is divisive, so have the Condems have shifted blame from their Banker friends to the people who empty your bins and clean your streets? Maybe not but the media has played a role in this blame shunting. Ordinary workers in the public sector are not responsible for the mess this country is in people on little more than minimum wages should carry the maximum blame or responsibility for this world financial crisis.
David Cameron has answered the question in respect of public servants earning more than himself. Here is a table: http://tinyurl.com/38sgtpn Is it money well spent?
Paul Waugh Best sums it up here: http://waugh.standard.co.uk/2010/06/coulson-takes-a-pay-cut-to-140k.html
